Week 3 and STRONGER

OK, so I am happy that I have gained strength. Running the 5 K Race looks possible now.

Evidence: Level 1 the first week, level 3 and 5 the second week and today I did level 7 and burned over 100 calories! Whoo-Hoo! Up from 50 the first week and I was winded at that! Still the same on weight and thinking I should do something else to jump start my weight loss, but realizing I need the energy to build muscle. Lost a bunch of inches and able to fit into suits that I have not worn in almost a year! Loving that! I had a great conversation with Brenda, a former military GAL (Gorgeous Admirable Loving)at the gym and she reminded me that we don't have to look our age! WORD. I chose to add always looking 10 years younger to my list of goals!

A LOT on the plate this week so I determined to get up earlier and get to the gym about 6. I already get up early, it's out of the house that will be a struggle. Now we are trying to prepare the house for our middle son's High School Graduation party in June. Painting, flooring and additional organizing. New look, new season, new environment, all good things to CELEBRATE!

New photos to go up tomorrow. I think you will be able to see a difference. I know I FEEL the difference!

Week 2

I can hardly believe how great my body is reacting to the exercise! I can NOT believe that I have dropped another size! AMAZING! I wore a suit today that I have not worn in a YEAR! My weight has stayed the same but my body has SHRUNK! Next week I will take a picture, and I hope that you all can see the difference!

To prepare me for The Dollars for Scholars 5 K on July 4 (Phil Jasperson of Apex Karting is putting this together through the Tumwater Chamber) I am going to run the Bush Middle Scool Fun Run. I would run in the Capital City Marathon in May, IF they would let me do the Kid's Race!

Another avenue of training was doing an Endurance Karting Race at Apex Karting to benefit ReBuilding Together Thurston County. WHAT A BLAST!!! You really have to get over there! My fastest lap was 33 seconds I think, I have no record so, HMMMM sounds like another ride me!

I have a busy week this week, so more of a challenge to get to the gym. I was inspired at the Monday Morning Power Hour with Rivers & Burg Professional and Life Coaching sponsored by the Tumwater Chamber today to PRIORITIZE MY WELL BEING. What a concept. I'll have to put that inspiration into perspiration!

See you around town and get busy taking care of yourself, amazing things are happening with me and they can happen for you too!

Winning at Life!

Hey all,

This is a cool adventure! I have decided that I want to be a winner at LIFE. I am excited to announce that I have set some physical goals and I am working on setting 12 goals in each area of life: Spiritual, Family Life, Relationships, Financial, Career, Emotional, Intellectual, and Physical. I love information and love to listen to inspirational teachings.

I listened to the CD by Chris Widener, In It To Win It, Winning At The Game of Life. Chris reminded me that I have the power to decide the kind of life that I want to live and the power to design it, and accomplish it.

So True! I agree and I have determined to live a world class life. Everything that I do, I do the best that I can! So, this is how this Blog thing came about and the race I am running July 4. Exercise has not been one of my goals, but now, it is a priority! I am using the great full body workout elliptical machine at Lord's Gym. I have been there 3 times and I have boldly moved from the beginner level ONE to TWO today! WHO-HOO! Look Out!

I have lost 14lbs, so far. I can not believe how small my head looks in these pictures! I guess that's what happens when your body grows. I don't know if you have ever heard what my friend told me, "Women carry their RAGE in their ASS!" I have found this to be TRUE in my life. I have been angry about a lot of things for a while, obviously, BUTT, I am hoping that since I am forgiving more these days my backside will cooperate and release the offending fat cells.

Anyway, I am currently 155 lbs, setting my goal at 125 by July 1, 2009. I am taking my measurements and PRIDE keeps me from posting them, but I will keep you updated on the weight and inches lost. Anyway, you have seen the photos and that is ENOUGH transparency! My goal is to update this Blog WEEKLY.

ONWARD and UPWARD!
